Ep 69: Discerning God’s Will For Your Business Transcript

  • by

Hey there beautiful sister, happy and blessed Sunday. Welcome to bonus Sunday inside the thrive method workshop. We are live. Yes, I am so excited to have you here with me as I talk about a very important and sensitive topic, and that is discerning God’s will for your business. As a Christian business coach for women, I know that this is a topic that we ladies grapple with. And, look, let’s start here. First and foremost, we don’t want to disappoint God. Right?

Hey, Julie. Good to see you, hon. Look, we love the Lord. And I know for me, but for Christ, I personally I would be dead. And that’s literally that’s not just in a spiritual way. But physically, the Lord Jesus Christ saved my life more than once. Hallelujah, Praise be to the Lord. He is merciful. He is so good. And so thank you ladies, for as you’re coming on, you know, make sure you make sure you tell me Hello, and somebody says I’m so beyond excited for this topic. I will tell you ladies that this is I am not like a preacher. Okay. And I’m going to, I’m going to say that in my notes, but I just wanted to say right up front, I don’t really get nervous for lives.

But I’m more nervous for this one, because handling God’s word is very, it’s tough. And we’re held to a higher standard and doing that. So I just pray that this will be pleasing to the Lord. So this is great. So Mika is here, and Margie is here. Welcome, ladies. All right. So as I was saying, we want to please God. And we know that without faith, we can’t do that. So we have to walk in faith, not by sight, and not allowing our resolve to weekend just because things don’t seem to be going the way we think they should be going. Right? And so for me more than just being pleased
with us.

I think we want God to be proud of us. Right? Just like when we’re daughters, we want our parents to be proud of us. It’s our Heavenly Father. And I think that’s commendable. You know, pleasing Him and wanting him to be proud of us should be our goal in all that we do. I mean, when we meet Jesus, we want to hear well done good and faithful servant.

So on this idea of God’s will, we definitely want to be smack dab in the middle of it, don’t we? But for many of us, God’s Will may seem like a great big question mark. Like, what does he want for me? What does he want for my life? And is this business in his will? Is this this business that I want to do? You know, so many of us think, is this his plan? Is it his purpose for me? Or we think, could this be a diversion? From his purpose? Maybe an idea that the enemy put in front of us? just gone really want this for me?

Or is it me that wants this for me? Is my pursuit of this business, an example of selfish ambition, we may think? Or is it obedience to my calling? Seriously, I want to know, have you ever thought these things? Please tell me in the comments, right? Have you ever questioned whether your business was in God’s will? and loose from the Sunshine State? Welcome, welcome. But I can tell you this, ladies, I get to speak with so many of you.

And there are a bunch of you who have these thoughts and doubts. And I’d say it’s pretty much everybody from time to time, at least right? And so if that’s you, if you’re having these questions, you’re not alone. And my hope and prayer is that this talk is going to help bring some clarity for you. And Julie says, Yes, that’s what I worry about, too. Is it just my selfish ambition? And to make us I have this challenge daily, and Marty says, yep, me too. Okay. So before we go to God in prayer and jump in, I need to make one thing clear to you ladies. All right. And I alluded to this just a moment ago, I am not a pastor.

I have no formal training in preaching God’s Word or studying it for that matter. I’m simply sharing thoughts on this subject after much prayerful consideration and study. And so I ask that you do your own individual study, right? And I’m sure you will. And as I always say, go to God yourself, to ask him to reveal his special word that he has just for you to be discerning, to do your due diligence and to spend special one on one time with the Lord. And know that my heart is not to tell you what to think, or what to believe when it comes to God’s will for you, but rather, to simply offer my thoughts based on my experience, and above all, based on scripture.

So let’s pray. And then we’ll attack this tough subject. All right. Heavenly Father, thank you God, but you will Open up the opportunity for us to come together on the Sunday morning. God we know that you have a plan and a purpose for us. And we know that you gifted us with special talents and gifts and abilities, Lord, help us to put those things together and, and discover and and that you would reveal to each of us what your purpose is for us what your plan is for us and, and how we are to best utilize these gifts and talents that you gave us where God today especially Lord, I am your vessel and I am your vessel take over takeover.

If there’s something that I’m saying that is not pleasing to you and is not right. I asked you to interrupt me in a way that I can’t even stop you from interrupting me. Love you, God. We love you. We trust you. It’s in the mighty name of your son Jesus that we pray. Amen. Amen.
All right. And then Margie says, and then I worry that my doubt is a sin and guilt all around. Okay. Well, Romans eight one, no condemnation for those in Christ. So we know that that’s not a god. Right? And Maryland is here. Great. And Pamela joined. All right. So I have to start this way. Isn’t God, amazing? He is awesome, truly extraordinary, like no other. No one can compare and he is so faithful. And let me tell you why I say all of that, besides the obvious that he is, right.

Earlier this week, I happened, quote, unquote, to get to a certain section and a bit more Bible study that I’m doing that touches on this very topic of God’s will. And I just happen to find this book about a week ago, right? Again, air quotes around the happened, it was in my husband’s office on a shelf for the past five years. But last week, I happen to see this Bible study, grab it and start reading it. And as we know, there’s no coincidence here. God is speaking, that is moving hallelujah.

So last night, I continued in that study, and I found even more that, in my opinion, bears on the issue of God’s will. And I’m gonna be talking about that and wrapping it up with that. And as I paused last night, I looked up, and with tears in my eyes, I said, Thank You, Lord, God, you blow me away. He’s just amazing how he weaves everything together, everything in his perfect timing. It’s just something, right. So I want all of us collectively, to pause here just for a moment, because we’re going to throw up some praise to Him, who is all deserving right. And I encourage you to do the same. Just Let’s close our eyes. I got to keep my eyes open. But I want you to close your eyes. And I want you to think about all that Christ has done for you. Let’s just sit in that for a second. Think about all that Christ has done in your life. And think about all that he has done in your family.

And I want you to praise them.
Oh, God, you are so good. You are so good. Think of that time when he showed up just in the nick of time. Think of that moment when your kids were born, how he moved. Think of that day when you first knew the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord. Thank you God. Oh, how we love you, Lord.
All right. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank you, God. Thank you, God, I see a lot of praise coming in. Awesome, awesome. Lord, You are to be praised forever. And always. Amen. Amen. All right, ladies, as I said, this issue of God’s wills, not easy. Some spend their whole life seeking it, and they feel like they’ve never found it tough. And so I do not come before you pretending that I know what God’s will is for you. I do not. And I firmly believe that knowing God’s will for your life is a very personal, individual thing. And you and only you can get confirmation. You’ve got to feel it individually. So importantly, I do not believe you will discover your life’s purpose kind of passively. Or by accident or accidentally, you must seek it, you must go after it intentionally asking the father to show you to reveal it to you to trust that he will, in his perfect timing, do just that. And in the meantime, wait. Actively Wait, right? And that means you’re taking action.

You’re waiting, but you’re not like sitting around on your hands until you hear from him. You are going to still use your gifts. Right? You’re going to actively wait meaning you’re going to pursue him and you’re going to continually continually ask him and you’re going to thank him in advance for revealing his will to you. Okay, so let’s get started with some key Bible verses that I want us to always keep in the front of us as we dive in, to guide us and to guide you in this journey of finding God’s will for your life and for your business. Okay, Romans 828, here’s a beautiful thing, all things work for the good of those who love Him, and who are called according to His purpose, all things are working together. So all that crap you’ve been through all that stuff, all that trial, all that struggle, it was for a purpose. And maybe it is for your testimony before the Lord God for others, right so that they would know him and the power of what he has done in your life.

Maybe all those things helped, as I believe it did for me to be able to enable you to do your work. And to relate to people who need to hear what it is you have to say, or to receive what it is you have for them. Okay, so Romans 12, two, here’s a beauty. This is really about mindset. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed and transformed by the renewing of your mind.
And do you know how it goes on ladies, this is crazy, then, then when we transformed our mind, then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. That’s Romans 12. To have it this one, Matthew 633. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Seek Him seeking we can never go wrong when we do that, right? proverbs three, five and six, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 910 the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Love it, the fear, the reverence of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. And last but not least Ephesians one nine. And I just happened another another happenstance. Right? No, it’s another mighty movement, the Lord God Almighty. I happen to hear this today. This morning, as I was listening to Bishop TD, TD Jakes. God’s moving, he’s speaking so Ephesians one nine says, and he made no to us His will, according to His good pleasure which he purposed in Christ. It’s a mystery. It’s a mystery, but we can find it in him. Hallelujah. All right, God’s Will what we are to do in this life. I used to think I used to think, How easy was it for Abraham to do exactly what God told him to do? Or Moses for that matter, right? I mean, when God speaks to you, as plain as day, one in the world, I used to think, heck, if God was right here with me by my side, and he spoke directly to me in a way that I heard him, of course, I would do what he told me to do, you know,
is everything.

But thank you for the love ladies. But but but and I remind myself, God does talk today, as he did then.
And I think just as clearly and even better, instead of being here with me, he is inside me. He is inside you. Which is way better than him being outside of us talking to us. He’s right here. And so the point is, ladies, are we listening? And I’ll admit, I’m not sometimes right. So, but I get it, right. Sometimes we hear a word. And then we think Wait a minute, just said that in your head that something goes on in your mind. You’re like Who Who said that? And you’re like, wait, was that Me? Me and my ambition again? My selfish ambition? Was it God? You know, like, is this truly him? Like, is this what he wants me to do? And then that other thought, oh, maybe it’s the enemies throwing his fiery darts of lies. We can go round and round and round.

But maybe, just maybe what I heard one pastor say years ago is right. He said, Look, we get all wrapped up in a pretzel about what seemed like major life decisions. Like where we go to college, like who we marry pretty big stuff, right? And even not so major decisions, we can get kind of crazy about like, ooh, but does God want me to get that car or that car? Right? Have you ever had that? But this pastor said, maybe God’s will is that whatever you’re doing, and wherever you are, and whoever you are married to. Right? Whoever you marry, you keep your eyes focused on him, that you love him, like he loved, that you serve like he served, and that you live in his joy, his peace, with his love, as Christ lived.

And that wherever you are, you seek his face and live to ultimately serve him no matter what you’re doing, no matter where you live, no matter what. So according to the Pastor maybe we’re all worrying about nothing? Well, I don’t know what to think about that. I think it’s a little bit laissez faire. Like, somehow, that kind of seems too laid back for me. Doesn’t seem quite right. But I like you need to ask God what is true, right? And Pamela said, yeah, that’s me.

Yeah. How about this, as I was preparing this message, I found another pastor who said this. Tell me what you think of it. Okay? If every believer would simply spend their life, learning to follow God’s word, and that would take care of 99% of God’s will for them. And this pastor goes on to say any believer who is attentive and attentive to God’s word, will find that the other 1% is easily discerned through prayer and thoughtful
consideration. Okay.

Like, yeah, it’s easy to know, it’s God’s will that I love people. That’s what I’m thinking, right? The big stuffs easy. Like, God wants me to love people easy. It’s God’s will that we stay pure before marriage. Okay, I get that I totally get that is his will no matter what. And we know, it’s God’s will that we are to give thanks in all things. Like, those are easy. They’re the big ones that are obvious. But to me that pastors assessment is equally overly simplistic. Because when you say, follow God’s word, you pack a lot in there. I mean, the hard thing about living this life on earth is I think, knowing how to apply what we’re reading in the Bible. So to simply say, oh, it, you will be 99%. Good. That only makes me feel like a dunce.
Any thoughts? Any thoughts on that?

Right? Crazy. So how can we thank you for the love? How can we discover God’s will for our lives? Well, in a minute, I’m going to share you six things that it seems for me and my study that we can do to try to discover God’s will. And these were taken from kind of yet another pastor sermon that I was studying, but it’s the closest thing that I found to be helpful, and in line with Scripture. But before I do that, I wanted to share with you what I learned inside Beth Moore’s Bible study that I told you about, and it relates to mindset, and walking obediently before God. Now, as I told you earlier in the week, inside the workshop mindset is the number one difference between those that thrive, and those that barely survive, whether in business or in life. And Beth Moore study talked about our mindset in a way that I hadn’t heard before. And she used Romans 12, to write, and I read that before, and I’m going to read it again. be transformed by the renewing of your mind, then you’ll be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will, the renewing of your mind. That’s mindset. That’s our perspective. And how awesome is our God. And he wrote everything we need, right here in the Bible.

I mean, how awesome is he? So when we grapple with mindset, we go to flip Ian’s for eight, we go here. I mean, all we’ve got to do is
open the word, open the word, read it, and meditate on it. And it isn’t going to be easy to apply and to figure everything out. But that’s why it’s a lifelong journey.

Right? So Beth Moore in the context of talking about Jesus righteousness, that he imparts on us those who believe she was talking about how in Revelation, we, the bride of Christ, are wearing fine linen. While Christ is wearing a blood stained rope.
I mean, right there, that image is insane.

And Beth was talking about how we are to put on Christ’s righteousness even as he put on our sin. Power, powerful stuff, when you think about it, when you just picture. I was picturing that one day that will come to pass ladies. Maybe not too far in the future, when we are all right there wearing our fine linen, and we see Christ with that blood stained robe. Okay, so Second Corinthians 521, God made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him, we might become the righteousness of God. So there’s this idea of putting on our wearing Christ’s righteousness, the idea that in Christ we have, we possess, we are given by His grace, Christ’s righteousness. This, the idea that we have it, but are we wearing it?

Or are we wearing it? And so this is what Beth went on to say, the key to wearing our new self, rather than allowing these robes of righteousness to simply hang in a closet is found in Ephesians 423, which says to put off the old self, and to be made new, and how, in the attitude of our minds, there it is, again, ladies Ephesians 423. mindset addressed again, put off the old self be made new in the attitude of our minds. Yes, in our minds is where we live out, our new self in Christ begins there. Right? So it begins with our identity in him. What do I always say, go all in on who you are in Christ. That is the beginning of living, you know, our purpose, his purpose for us, right? Who we are in Christ in Christ, who do we tell ourselves We are, we are no longer that dirty, ugly mess, that we were without him. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, God, in Christ, we are courageous, we are bold, we are strong, we are able, in his strength and power to do even the impossible. We are perfectly imperfect, made exactly as he planned. We are extraordinary women of God. Okay, Let that sink in. Let that sink in.

And so, Beth Moore asks, Are you storing anything of that old self? In this new mind we’ve been given? Are we storing anything of that old self in this beautiful new creation that he made. And she says, We are new creatures in Christ. But if we still think like that old creature, we will find it impossible to live as that new creation that God made us to be. Our wars, ladies are fought in the battlefield of the mind. But Hallelujah, Hallelujah, we got a class where we cling to God’s word stronger is he that is in me that is in the world. Hallelujah. And we are more than conquerors in Christ. So good. Oh, my God, Lord, You are so good. God is fighting our battles, including those tough battles of the mind. We are to put on our new self, we are to wear that eautiful robe of righteousness that our Lord Jesus Christ died for. We are to stand up and to speak God’s truth and to stand strong in him. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. Thank you for the love. And so ladies, I really, this is a powerful message straight from God, I got nothing to do with it. I got nothing to do with it. This is the Lord God speaking to you, Sister, I firmly believe that he’s calling us to stand up in these days as we seek as well.

Alright, so back to Romans 12. Two, we are not to conform to this world, we must be transformed. How? by the renewing of our minds. How do we do that? by prayer, by Bible study, right, searching God’s Word. And by being surrounded by like minded people, people of God, who can serve as sound counsel, who are the five people you hang out with most of that’s going to impact you, both in life and in business. And that is exactly why I felt led by the Lord to focus only on his daughters so that we could truly be like minded, not just seeking that million bucks. But more importantly, more significantly, more eternally, seeking to use his gifts and his talents to make a significant impact on the very people that he has designed for us to impact since before he made the world.

Read, that’s a mic drop. I can’t even I just can’t even I could break down and cry. Okay, it’s just too darn powerful.
So, we’re continuing with Romans 12. Two, when we renew our minds, it says, then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is. Oh my goodness, did you catch that? When we are transformed by the renewing of our minds? When we think right, like Philippians, four, eight, we’re thinking on the right things. We’re in God’s word. When we see things and think about things and get our perspective from God’s Vantage point, when we are clothed in his righteousness, then we will not maybe not might, this is the definite, the the verse, the Bible verse says, then we will be able to test and approve what God’s will is for us. It’s reassuring, right?

Who? Or is it? So we say, what if I’m in prayer? And I’m really specifically asking God to reveal his plan, his purpose, his will for my life? And and is this business that I want in his will? And what if I am being intentional about renewing my mind through Bible study, and through quiet time with the Lord? And what if, after all of that, I still don’t know what his will is for me?
What if I am not able to test and approve what his will is? What does that make me? A bad Christian? Then I start doubting my salvation. Right? Now, this is taking this to the nth degree. But do you see how our minds can run amok?

I do not think that is what God wants for us. In fact, I’m sure of it. no condemnation for those in Christ, Romans eight one, so we’re not going down that road. Okay, let’s commit to that. But I want you to see that, you know, this is a tough one, right? But we’re gonna hold on to God’s exceedingly great and precious promises. And when he says, when we renew our minds, we’re going to know his will. And I’m going to believe that I’m going to thank him in advance for revealing it in his perfect time. And I’m not going to beat myself up if I don’t feel it yet.

So I can’t stand here and say to you the business idea you have or the business that you started as God’s will for life. But as your sister who loves you, I am confident in saying this, our finding each other is no accident.
And the fact that you have not only this desire to go into business, but that you did something about it, you’ve started down that road, as opposed to how many others who started about think about starting a business, and they do nothing to move that business forward.
And it’s a bunch.

So you have this idea about starting a business, you’ve started down this road, and you’re doing it with a servant’s heart, and with a focus on helping and impacting others. And again, not about the million bucks. If you’re chasing the money, then you’re not my client. That’s not to say that you don’t have big goals, I will make a million dollars one year in the not too distant future.
But that’s not where I lead.

That is not like what I have my eye on what I have my eye on is the Lord Jesus Christ, and service. And if it’s important for you to make sure you’re doing business in a way that honors God and brings him glory, first and foremost, it seems to me that your business may very well be his will for your life. And if you haven’t yet gotten that confirmation, keep seeking keep asking chase him down, kind of like a Joshua, who was like fighting with Jesus, tell me tell me or I think in his case, give me the blessing give me I’m not letting go. And then, you know, ultimately, he got it. But Jesus broke his leg just by a touch, ah, so much good stuff in that story. But we can’t stop chasing after God and learning more about Him and He will reveal it, your will and his plan for you in his perfect timing. Okay, hallelujah.

I’m going to pause now before I get into the six ways that you can discover God’s will perhaps six ways for you to try to discover God’s will. I love you guys are writing all of these Bible verses out Georgia is here Holly has joined. Let’s see. Let’s see if you have any questions ladies, let me know delanda is here. And I love all these comments. You’re just quoting scripture. That’s a beautiful thing. And Julie says I love how all in You are God and I love your vulnerability. Thank you and it’s really Jesus. Jesus in me you would have known me in my 20s I was a far different person. Listen to my testimony on my blessed to thrive YouTube channel and sprinkle your your toes Okay, um, yes, we have it but are we wearing it since the londa. In our mind is where we live at our lives. Yes, we have to be focused, right? I’m getting it. I must go all in. Goodbye old me says Margie. It’s a beautiful thing. The Scriptures are wonderful for us to keep before our eyes and in our ears. Thank you, Lord says Marilyn. That’s right. Who are the five people you hang out with most? Julie asks.

That’s right. And Jeanette is here. Awesome. Great to see you. Great. Great to see you. Money is not the focus. It’s the people it’s the service. That’s right and yourself. Chris lb just joined. Wow. All right. So Ladies, what pastor I saw put it together this way with six of these things you can try to discover God’s will. And I’m just gonna kind of sort of quickly go through these, I can’t believe the half an hour has gone by. And then I want to end with what I discovered just last night in Beth Moore’s Bible study, okay?

So way number one to discover God’s will, is I’ve already kind of talked about it, go to God in prayer, when you want his wisdom and to learn his will and purpose for your life, ask God to give you that wisdom. And that direction, James, one, five, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all and it will be given to him. And then Hebrews 416. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace. Oh, okay, something ladies, that made me to be bold, from babyhood. And it’s only getting more so the older I get, because, I mean, this may sound weird, but I’ll be 55 in a few weeks. And I feel like, I don’t mean to be morbid, but I feel like I’m closer to the end of my life than I am to the beginning of my life, right? And so I’m telling you, I’m on fire, I got work to do, I got to make up for lost time. I’m not regretting that I’m not mourning that. I’m saying now is the time. So Hebrews 416, we are encouraged to go boldly, before the throne of grace, to get that mercy and find grace to help in time of need. So God has a purpose. He wants to reveal it to you, Sister go to Him. And He will answer, right? All right way.

Number two, you got to dig into God’s word we talked about that. I think the primary way that God speaks to us is through His Holy Word.
Right. And one of the first things you need to do, if you want his will, you got to keep digging into that word, right? know him better study his word more, right? Psalm 119 105, says Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path. God’s word brings light to pads, that seed dark, seek, and ye shall find right way number three to find God’s will determine your gifts and your strengths. And I’ve talked about this too, right? God has given each of you very specific gifts, and talents, and abilities, and strengths and things that you’ve always been naturally great at things that you took for granted. And you might have thought everybody else had these great gifts, but they don’t. And so I tend to think that God’s purpose, his will for you, probably involves those things that he’s gifted you.

That’s me personally, okay? Way number four, to discover God’s will, is to determine your passions. And this is kind of sort of related to number three on determining your gifts and strengths. But think about this, what are you super passionate about? What lights you up? As in if money wasn’t even an issue and you didn’t get paid for it? What would you love to do? Women’s advocacy is exactly that for me.

Lifting up my sister’s right. And we’ve heard it said God works at the intersection of our gifts and our passions. Where do your gifts meet your passion? That may be your will and purpose under God? Right? And that is your business. Right? Interesting. Interesting. Way number five, to discover God’s will ask other godly people in your life. Proverbs one, sorry, Proverbs 1114 says, where there is no guidance of a people falls. But in an abundance of counselors, there is safety. In other words, one of the main ways that God will help you find your purpose is probably through others, right? God speaks through people. Interestingly, and throw a little monkey wrench in there.

Sometimes God even speaks for non believers. So while we want to make sure we’re hanging out with our God, my sisters and brothers, if you happen to happen to write the quotes again, if you happen to, you know, be somewhere
and you hear a word or someone saying something to you, and and they’re not a believer, you think they may not be Sony to keep your eyes and ears open because God speaks through people. Right?

All right, the sixth way so that you could discover your, you know, God’s will for your life is to take a breather, go away, and have some solitude. Take a respite or retreat that is time away. unhurried time to think and to pray and to journal. And when I say this solitude or this retreat, it does not have to be anywhere exotic or special like the beach or the mountains. You could be sitting alone at the park or at home. Right. And it doesn’t have to be a week, or even an entire day, maybe just an hour away from the hustle and bustle of normal life, just a time and a place to allow yourself to be still to ponder, to ask God for direction, and to have that time and space to listen to His voice, right.

And Hebrews 11 six is a reminder that God always rewards those who seek Him, He is not hiding in the dark, trying to keep his will hidden from you, he wants to guide you. And so I hope all of that was helpful. Before we end today, I wanted to share something I learned from that Beth Moore Bible study I talked about. And then I want to come to you with comments. So I would love to know what you think about all this. I see the comments. You guys are great note takers. I want to know what you think.
Has this helps you?

So in this Beth Moore Bible study, she was talking about somebody in the Bible, from the Old Testament that I had 00 recollection of. But oh, wow, what a powerful life lesson. He demonstrates a life lesson of obedience. And it was so powerful for me that I felt compelled to share. All right, so do you recall a man named bezel be easy, a l e. l hope I’m saying that right bezel l BEZAL. El, this man bezalel was handpicked by God to furnish God’s dwelling place here on earth. And this is from Exodus 36. And we read that God filled bezalel with the Spirit of God, so that he could make crafts for his temple. You see, as I understand it, God gifted does allow with the ability to make things, you have this special talent, it was unique.

And he was perfect for the task. But he was only able to do what he needed to do with the help and power of the Holy Spirit. Okay, so I’ll explain that a little bit further. The question that was posed is, why did God choose bezel? Oh, probably because of two things first, best allow made himself available? And secondly, he was obedient to do as God instructed. And that smacked me in the face last night? Because I thought, am I available? for anything that God puts in front of me and asks me to do? Would I be obedient?
to step into that?

Then I thought, Wow, wow, when God puts this passion that he has inside of each of us, and he’s made each of us with these special gifts, gifts that, by the way, are perfectly suited for this passion that he put inside of us? Are we available and obedient to use them? And that’s directly related to what we’ve been talking about all morning, right? Is this business
that you want to pursue? Is this business?

Is that the special and unique task? The calling the will of God for your life? Is that when you plan? Interesting, right? That leads, you know, when I look at all that as evidence in that lawyer mind of mine, I would tend to say that points more to Yeah. And then No, but again, we have to dig right. All right. Now next came another blind, mind blowing, thought mind blowing. So please stay with me here. And I, I, I am fearful that I’m going to blow it that that you have to read this more Bible study to fully get the impact of this, but do my best. Okay, so stay with me here. Beth Moore said best sales job was out of his league. I mean, he was crafty. But come on.

He had these very, very specific instructions to follow from God Almighty. You had to use certain materials, you had to make things exactly, just right, with great specificity, and with great precision. And so here again, we have bezaleel called by God to do something that used his talent, but the scope, the scope of what he was called to do was out of his league, but he was obedient and willing to step up, even though he was being asked to do what was well beyond him. It was out of his league. It was scary. Like, he was thinking, can I really do this? Ladies, please hear me on this. Anything of importance and priority in the kingdom is out of our league. Like we cannot do it in our own strength. But God Ah, do you remember that phrase? But God, but God, by His grace and mercy, he empowers us with the Holy Spirit so that we can rise to accomplish that
out of our lead task.

That is our calling. So here in the story, God purposely assigned a bezel, a task that was beyond his capabilities,
so that he could fill bezel with his power with his spirit to accomplish that assignment. And I believe that’s exactly what he does for each of us through our calling to His will for our life. So I’ll leave you with this thought. And I’m going to quote it straight from Beth Moore’s
Bible study. So they don’t mess this up.

God empowered bezel to perform his assignment. And God apparently viewed the situation like this guy said, I have a job to do that needs to be done. And I want it done. Right. I need it done. Right. And that means I will do it myself. So he did through the Spirit, through bezel Oh,
do you hear what I said?
God searches for laborers, who will simply let him do his job through them as his vessels. So my prayer for myself and my prayer for each of you is, may we be available and obedient, to step into that task, that God is calling us to a task that may seem right now, totally out of our league. And may we be confirmed in what that task is? Because here’s one thing we can be sure of where he calls us, God will equip us to accomplish that calling Hallelujah, hallelujah Praise be to God, our Father and His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

That’s a good stuff. And I pray that this message was helpful for you. And listen, I’m going to give you one reminder about what’s coming up.
